Topic 91:If you could ask a famous person one question,what would you ask?Why？ Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
If I was given the opportunity to ask a famous person one question ,I would choose Beethoven and ask for his opinion about the relationship between talent and hard working.
As we know, Beethoven, born in a musical family, had showed a great amount of talent on music since his childhood. Almost everyone at that time considered him a genius, and he gained a great fame when still young.
However, God seems to like playing tricks on human beings. Beethoven lost his hearing at his thirtieth. What a pity! That musicians can not hear is like that writers can not write, or that sailors can not swim. However, people found out with a big surprise, that a large number of Beethoven’s famous works were created after he became deaf. How did he manage to do that?
It is true that success needs talent. If Beethoven were asked to be an engineer, no one could say surely that he would become as successful as being a musician. However, it is also true that success do not depend on talent only. Through Beethoven’s life, it is believed that he had to work much harder when deaf. Only could he make use of his memory to do music. Therefore, he must have overcome a large amount of difficulties to continue his musical career. A genius without hard working can never achieve success as Beethoven did.
If I had the chance to ask him how he considered the relationship between talent and hard working ,his answer might be that talent is a gift from God while hard working is a must for success. Only if you take advantage of both of them can you ultimately get success and respectation. |
