Thanks Jon. Correct me if I'm wrong but here's what I thought: There seems to be quite limited opportunities for fresh grads to enter the consulting industry. After all, it is one perceived as "glamorous" or "high-end" with decent social status and more than decent pay and career prospects. So unless you are the top 1% student with either exceptionally good academic achievements, preferably from a top-rated elite university, or if you have strong family connections, I don't see why consulting firms would like to hire a fresh grad, rather than phd's or professionals that have years of experiences and expertise in their endeavers. In short, of course it is nice to have a consulting job, but the question is how to get your foot in the door first, right? Anyway, I'd appreciate your thoughts on this.
