正确答案是c

所以为什么比较对象是in the six months 呢？

因为比较的是“自从1995年十月份的六个月”和“之前一年的同时期的六个月”，是两个年份的六个月

为什么不是circulation in the six months 呢？

如果原句是the circulation in a period is lower than xxx的话那就是选that in a period。我做这题的时候是这么想的，不知道对不对

a similar period不能和lower circulation比较，（因为a similar period是名词地位，只能上前面找名词哦，带介词的名词不能找，因为是介宾短语，地位低下……）也不能跟newspaper比较。同理a similar period’s 更是没有可以比较的朋友。

所以只好状语比较

D选项Ondksan说的有理。想再说一点是，看D的意思是要状语比较了（因为有状语存在，如果状语不比较，按gmat的n性一定会把他省略的），那that按理指代销量，销量又是宾语。情况就是，状语不甘寂寞带着宾语一起比较！没必要，也不合理。

至于E是，所属关系，重点在that上，应该是主语或宾语比较，呃，又加上时间的限制，错的已经不能分析，前面没有类似的时间限定下的名词。

" in the six months....." Is parallel to " in similar period ...."
