偶也感觉这个题目the method is to do sth的结构以前好像很少见。is前后应该要平行的两个概念。不过A答案后面的部分用了被动，也不好。

这个题目很奇怪。

method to do sth. 是正确的，method, attempt, tendency, capacity等都是动词不定式做定语。

我在排除完只剩下B和D选择时根据的就是平行结构:

前面的ways to build 和后面的 the methods to form　就是很好的平行和对称！

method be +that引导的名词性从句正是method be n.的结构。另外注意E中使用的是which were,所以这个which是跳跃修饰bricks,不是mud or clay。如果which是修饰mud or clay这两个由or连接的单数名词应该用which was，故此which没有修饰歧异。

A中and前后并列明显扭曲原意。method has been....and they are laid....

B:forming ...and to lay 并列错。

C:having错

D中：method is to do and to do.2个to do 代表一个method感觉很怪。此外，就如OG所说，method be n. 才是正确用法。

见and 找平行.after....是插入语不要管它.扔掉.剩下就是to form 和to lay 平行. 别的悬想都不平行.迅速排除.
