可以这样理解：一块木板向西移动，下面一把固定的左轮连续开枪，最后一枪应打在最东面

火，真难。读题估计用了至少4分钟（还没搞懂），知道时间来不及了，看选项：ABD首先排除。比较C E，C似乎说与方向无关，题中似乎提到WESTERN什么东西，于是选E。总共5分37秒。

偶常有这种感觉，一边看不清楚的话，看两遍OK；如果一遍没看懂的话，看十遍也还不懂。

感觉是E, 因为continent move westward, so it takes longer to form the volcanos on the west side of the trail. A,B,C无关,D相反.

强烈支持这种观点！GMAT不支持先跳过，回来重新看的模式，所以往往会使人报住不确定的题不放，这样即浪费了时间，又破坏了心情，不一定值得。

大陆向西滑===》形成火山。
这题的关键在于slid:to move downward

向西向下=向东向上，形成火山， 就是答案D。

不知对不对？

我也是从westward考虑. 以为坂块向西迁移会不断在trail的西边生成更多的火山. 看来理解有误.
