文章大意： Jim Crow 种族隔离法案的形成和发展

段落大意：

P1：由 Mcmillen 在参与的两个关于美国南方种族关系的实质和演变的辩论引出， 在密西西比， 奉行白人至上， 对黑人的排斥和隔离由一开始非正式变为合法。然而由于白人作为统治者种族的自信， 20 年后才正式立法这种种族隔离和排斥。

P2：为了巩固统治， Jim Crow 被正式立法， 密西西比保持白人利益的持续性，和当时的种植园体系一样根深蒂固。

主旨：

主旨：两位心理学家的新书，主要讲外表等主观因素会极大地影响对人的判断。 文中列出了多种影响因素。

段意：
第一部分（1-2段）介绍两位心理学家写的新书，关于职场上人们会不自觉的根据外貌来评价一个人。人们倾向于服从霸道总裁。
第二部分（3-7段）作者从着装，性别，脸型，身高等特征开展研究，揭示人们会从这些因素来对一个人进行主观评价。
**段3: 可能性之一:对有更高社会地位的人逐渐形成的尊重， 不仅限于外表。 ——例子。
