如果我这样理解，分词短语不一定非要修饰主语，也可以就近修饰名词，如本题的正确答案E，earned就近修饰speed records. 而BC错在earning 离修饰的主语the pilot太远，请问这样理解对吗？谢谢！

19题中的 a pioneer journalist做Nellie Bly的同位语没有任何问题。
同位语不一定修饰的是之前名词词组的核心词。

35题的E选项我感觉不太对。楼主在确认一下吧~

关于同位语，你的意思是，不一定是核心词修饰，也可以说就近修饰前面出现的名词对吧。

关于35题，OG13确实选了E，OG解释是
A（我当初错选了A）too wordy,不如earned 修饰speed ecords来得直接。
B earning主语是the pilot,而不是records, 但是earning离records太近了，making this sectence hard to process(原话)；so new that many x were y,比so new for many x to be y更清晰
C where错
D 应该用when来引导；such多余
E对，earned就近修饰records;清晰的使用了so new that many x were y

19题 你可以这么想。what included? 肯定不是a pioneer journalist, 而是 the exploits of Nellie Bly. 所以要先找到核心主语是什么。其次，答案B中的a pioneer journalist 不是exploits的同位语，而是Nellie Bly的同位语。（这个可能需要有语感。。。）
35题 earned的主语是speed records, not the pliot. 因为the pliot 离earn实在是有点远。。。如果真要坚持照应主语the pliot的话，应该用and she earned 更明确。（这个也可能是语感的问题）可惜，A中有明显的错误“to be”。

OG13 47题 In 1713, Alexander Pope began his translation of the Iliad, a work that took him seven years...此处a work作为同位语修饰his translation。
          19题 The exploits of Nellie Bly, a pioneer journalist, included... a pioneer journalist作为同位语修饰紧邻的名词 Nellie Bly。
按照manhattan语法charpter6 modifier 的讲解，touch rule:a noun and its modifier shoule touch each other.
所以，我认为，19题中的更有道理，和a pioneer journalist最近的名词是 Nellie Bly
                   而47题的疑问，还请NN帮助解答一下！大谢~

我也刚刚看过这道题，说说我的看法：
修饰语有修饰名词的和修饰动词的
此处earn修饰的不会是动词held，所以划线部分的修饰语是修饰名词的
根据position of noun modifiers--Touch Rule: A noun and its modifier shoule touch each other.
records是紧邻这个修饰语的名词，所以划线部分是修饰records
显然,records were earned at time... -->修饰语和其修饰的名词是被动关系，选用过去分词形式
一下只剩DE
如果明白以上逻辑推理，E中的them是不对的

19题，included的主语只能是exploits；名词修饰原则是touch rule,所以不是核心词修饰，而是紧邻原则，B没有问题。
35题
还是有争议，E选项根据touch原则，records earned，而E中them确实无法解释。

关于anglea不怕孤单的问题：
OG13 47题 In 1713, Alexander Pope began his translation of the Iliad, a work that took him seven years...此处a work作为同位语修饰his translation。
这是OG12里的一道题目，a work紧邻的是Iliad是一部原著，稍微跳跃一下指代translation是没有问题的。
