OG上对in turn的位置这样解释：

In turn is best placed before the verb of

这个问题貌似没有人问过，可能不是重点吧，但是还是希望哪位NN知道能够解答一下，in turn 的位置为什么要放在 create 之前？？放前放后的区别是什么 ？？个人觉得 in turn 的位置不会造成绝对错误。。。请大家帮忙解答

单看B选项，(B) that creates unconscious physiological responses in turn，直面意思很可能in turn 修饰create responses, 翻译过来就是产生了一连串的无意识的生理反应，表示的是产生这个动词的状态，是接连的。
而A选项，(A)that, in turn, create unconscious physiological responses，in turn 放前面了，它并列的东西就是produces 和creates，表示这两个动词的发生顺序是先produce后create，正是这儿的句意所在。
所以in turn前后放的位置不同是容易造成歧义的。

这道题是选A，主语不是lying，我现在来分析一下这个句子的结构
The use of lie detectors is based on the assumption that（后面接的是同位语，解释assumption的内容） lying produces emotional reactions说谎会产生一种情感上的反应（ in an individual ）that（, in turn, ）create unconscious physiological responses. 括号里的先不看，修饰名词有 touch rule，that引导的定语从句先行词是 emotional reactions，所以用 create。即说谎产生情感上的反应，这种情感反应产生无意识的生理反应。

E是明显不对的...
说谎使人产生情感上的反应，这种情感反应产生无意识的生理反应。

楼主楼主，为什么只能是这种情感产生生理反应呢？individual不能产生生理反应吗？求教
