我选的是E，但是答案说E不正确，因为'Five eagles can be the grammatical subject of brought, but not the logical one; it was not the eagles themselves but rather the entire action of their leaving their nests that brought the number to 34'

困惑：按答案A，bringing是现在分词作结果状语，那它的逻辑主语应该和主句主语一致才对，即Five eagles？但是按照答案E的解释，却又说是整个action及整个主句才能作为逻辑主语？求解答谢谢。

亲 分词做句子的结果状语有两种意义
一种是你理解的，修饰其逻辑主语（动作的发出者）这种情况叫做逻辑状语

第二种就是修饰前面的句子，表达一种<使能关系>。这种情况叫做伴随状语。
举个例子，John got a very high score in that match,making his team rank to the 1st place among all the competitors.
