下面是对A的解释：
(A) something代替名词从句，简洁；the other结构不完整，应该是one… the other搭配。如果能用名词替代一个名词性从句，优先选名词（比如something, probability, likelihood等）。

这两道题前一道说用名词代替名词性从句罗嗦，后一道说用名词代替名词性从句好，到底应该是哪个呢？我个人认为用名词和名词性从句应该都可以的，所以应该用其他地方来判断答案选什么，望牛牛帮忙解答

楼主不是都写出来规则了吗

GMAC的偏好：

如果能用名词替代一个名词性从句，优先选名词，比如something, probability, likelihood等

第一个题里面The knowledge that scientists know about…，knowledge和know语义也重复

第二个题里面，C答案不也是个定语从句吗，怎么就比A简洁了。。。觉得还是the other的问题吧

这个不是绝对的判断标准，不同的语义下就算有的用了名次性从句也不一定简介，不用也不一定不简洁，要看情况而定
