Greencard first or MBA first?

Planning on application for 2007 MBA, however Greencard is still 485 pending. If admitted but no greencard by next August, what should i do?

如果年龄不大，还是等下绿卡。MBA毕业的时候也用得到。

两三年后的绿卡排期还不知道是怎样呢。

If you are, you can enter schools with Greencard is still 485 pending.

consult your lawyer, in 485 you are waiting for GreenCard, that means, you can use EAD card to work, not sure you can get into school as a full time student.

of course, it's pretty simple, in 485 pending, GreenCard > MBA.

完全没有问题。485PENDING就可以FULL TIME念书，

拿到EAD可以作TA, RA等等。

I knew a friend who did that, and got big trouble since the USCIS will inquiry whether you are still working in the same area you used to apply green card. If you become a full-time student, how can you supply such evidence. My friend's case happened around 2000-2001, so I do not know the current situation.

You'd better to consult with an experienced lawyer to play safely. USCIS is not a place you afford to argue with.

如果是想转换行业，比如从前是物理研究，作研究的时候用1、2类资格申请140和485，在拿到绿卡之前－也就是485正式批准之前，最好不要申请其他专业，否则会很麻烦。

如果不存在转行问题，比如用配偶身份申请140、485，该配偶不受上面所说的限制。

对于找移民律师，个人观点是不能不信，不能全信。要办理美国移民的话，自己一定要作RESEARCH，光听律师的话，不一定保险－－很多人的惨痛教训啊。。。。。。律师，拿钱办事的。对他们来说，是一个CASE；对申请人来说，就是人生啊！
