我想问问c整个句子是一个形容词短语吗，可为什么后面还有emigrated 和had been 这些谓语呢，
after在这里是介词还是副词还是连词？

我有两个问题：
先贴OG中对于A、C的解释：
A：Less successful... anticipates than rather than compared to . ..; a comma is insufficient to
join two independent clauses into a single sentence.
D：When compared to is an incorrect phrase to complete the comparison introduced by less.

这里compared to和正确选项中的than,我没看出两者在时用上的区别啊，答案的意思是有less必须配than，是固定搭配的意思吗？求助！

不正确。因为being在这里表示的是主语的一种状态或者特点，那么去掉being肯定是对的。所以C选项加上being肯定是wordy的。

对于这道题，我还有一个时态疑问
had emigrated错了是因为前面有after的原因吗？

Ron曾经说过after having done 不对，因为after和having语意重复，这里也是吗？

already having done 和 when having done都是错误结构，我的理解是，第一个和after一样语意重复，第二个因为是"已经。。。"所以不能用when，请问我的理解对嘛？

我对being的用法一直很困惑
之前看到过
1 there being
2（n.＋）being＋done/adj
这两种用法一定错，我没有找到第一个的解释，第二个比如说being convinced可以直接说convinced，being less successful 可以直接说less successful。（但其实我觉得being是多余的，但为什么错呢？）

另外，有人总结过being正确的用法
1。human being （OG16 119）
2。被动语态进行时（刚刷OG，还没碰到）
3。动名词（OG110）
