答案选B，据说就是like insects,FLITTING是修饰insects的。但是我不是很懂这题的意思：蜂鸟是会盘旋的，但昆虫是flitting...from...to...也就是不能定住盘旋，只能从一个飞到另一个的意思吧……那么为什么是like呢，我选A的时候就当as是when的意思，比较两个动物不一样的习性呢？

求各位大神解释！
另外像NOUN+DOING这样的东西是不是不能跟在while,as,when,but....的后面？？？相关的知识您可以确定的，都可以教教我。谢谢啊

LSDG别激动别激动。。。。。
其实考察的就是like+N+N modifier的用法。。。。
LZ说的A，把as=when来看明显是有问题的，as引导时间状语从句，哪里有主从句啊？？？？？？明显是as+n——只能是“作为”的含义，而且本文考察的就是as与like用于表达相似性的区别

when while等从属连词后面一般接完整句子，但是如果从句主语是主句主语，且谓语是be动词，可以省略主语及be动词，接动词的分词形式。

hummingbirds 和 insects是两种不同的生物，不能说hummingbirds 做为 insects，只能说hummingbirds 像 insects一样。
