A recent review of pay scales indicates that CEO's now earn an average of 419 times more pay than blue-collar workers, compared to a ratio of 42 times in 1980.
CEO's now earn an average of 419 times more pay than blue-collar workers(do),这样省略式,这句话就没有错误了, 后面的compared to 在PREP语法当中,说可以看作和compared with是相等的,那么比较两个比例也没有问题啊。
首先CEO's now earn an average of 419 times more pay than blue-collar workers要加do,即CEO's now earn an average of 419 times more pay than blue-collar workers do.
其次,compared to what ratio? not clear enough 动作的发出这不清晰或者说修饰对象不明确。
