申Finance Phd求定位

undergrad: GPA 3.5
graduate: GPA 3.9, U.S. MSF,

research: no serious research experience, only some projects and undergrad thesis，想找系里的教授做点RA

看今年Finance PhD的形势如此严峻，着实让我有点怕怕。。。想主申20~30的，比如IUB, UMN, UW-Madison, ASU, OSU之类的。。。top的就不想了。。。

各位看看现实么?有什么建议？

主要看推荐信，能申请OSU那么前面学校至少也混个面试啥的。 GPA这些过线就行，大家都知道怎么回事

但我肯定不会去试因为不可能申到……

我觉得这个背景不够靠谱 LZ就不要纠结了切实提高背景先

说到底大家也都清楚那个3.9的GPA是怎么来的

I think school choices should be mainly based on your research interests. Your scores are all good enough for you to pass most of the screening process. What really matters afterwards are your research experience and interests. My suggestion is that you should try to involve yourself into some serious research projects in the coming semesters before sending out your application.
