我理解的是 果因问题，
如果结果是new publisher 换了封面，gossip columnist 觉得原因肯定是new publisher想让杂志变得更relevant。 cq 是找它因解释果，或者证明果和因之间没有联系。b等于是说如果final authority for choosing the cover subject of magazine 都不在publisher 手上，等于说因果没有关系。 请问这样理解对吗？而且我觉得如果是相关因果的话e不等于是符合独立第三因素，其他原因导致了换封面吗？

同意楼上的，相关因果问题。 publisher更换，和版面更换，2件事其实没有什么因果性。 如果非要建立联系，要说明。 问题的是专栏家的反对者的假设，其实也是说这些改变和publisher的更换到底相不相关。

逻辑链： new publisher ---> covers from politician to movie star-->reason(out of the boost of sales not the important news event)
那实际上有两个gap，我第一眼看B 感觉是是第一个gap，但是我个人感觉第一个gap不是主要gap，因为乍一看肯定是觉得gap应该是movie star 的封面有更多人买，但是E选项没有解释the important news event 的问题，就是说E还要补充movie star 通常来讲都不是important news event 。所以经过排除选B，而且最后看B 也是可以适用于整个gap的。
