标题: Phone interview wth Bentley (Acct)

Just has a phone interview with Bentley College to share.

Phd program in acct. Only normal questions like;

Do you have questions for me? Do you have teaching experience? Have you applied other programs?

The Accounting phd program at Bentley is very new.

Any idea or comment about this school or program? Thanks.

just know that they are a good acct school (at least at undergrad & master level, not sure about PhD level...)

Yes, their master program is ranked around 30th in 2006.

Bentley is not good at research, but they are making progress year by year. However, they kinda lack in big names that would initiate distinguished research efforts. Overall, I would not say it is a good research institute.

but cong to the LZ anyway!

I agree that it is not a good research institute. I am still waiting for some other schools. But I think I have been rejected by U of Florida and Virginia Tech.

Don't be upset. Especially in the case of Univ of Florida. It's a vey special school that every year many applicants getting in finally drops the offer for better choices.

You might be on the waiting list now if you have not heard from them so far. Just be patient and wait.
