标题: 康奈尔(Johnson)预感不祥
不知道这里有没有康耐尔的校友,最好是在admission office里工作过的,了解录取过程.
我的问题是:通常情况下,after an applicant submits the application, within one week or two weeks the application will be reviewed. The status should be changed from “received” to “currently under review”. However, I submitted my application on Nov. 2, which was 13 days ahead of the deadline (I have to say that 13 is an unlucky number), but 23 days were past, my status is still “received”. 更可气的是status report还说没有收到我的成绩单,我可是用的是UPS,有收到证明的.

我有一个怀疑,康乃尔是按地区录取学生的,中国学生申请人数太多,于是忙不过来,我的申请先到,于是被放在下面,是不是这个程序.请知情者告之.

第二个怀疑,是康乃尔对中国学生不是太感兴趣,不急着看中国的申请.那么他们为什么千里迢迢地到北京来参加会展呢?

Status Description
Your application has been received and is being processed. If you submitted paper recommendations or transcripts, it will take at least a week to update your Status Report. We appreciate your patience and request that you recheck your status in a week.

FYI.
I am in mainland China. I submitted on around Nov10th. Johnson didn't receive my score sent by ETS until 20th of this month. Right now my status is "under reveiw".

So if they said they didn't receive your transcript, you'd better check it out with them.

many thanks for sharing your status report with me.

it seems that i'm pretty unlucky with cornell application. there should be no excuses for cornell to say that they didn't receive my transcripts.

1. i filled cornell's name and code when i took toefl and gmat.  ETS should automatically forward my transcripts to them.

2. I checked with UPS and UPS said that in mid-October they delivered my undergraduate transcripts to cornell.

3. my credit record says that cornell already charged my application on Nov.3.

i wrote two emails to cornell and got no reply so far.  shit!!!

OK.  谋事在人，成事在天。我已经无能为力了。

终于"currently under review"了。很强的预感：不祥！这里有cornell的申请人吗？拿到interview的有吗？

这种老牌牛校，一向是比政府机构还要拽的，慢慢熬吧。除了去年一个上海可口可乐公司的高级经理，偶还没有听说过别人进了康奈尔。也许你好事多磨，祝你好运！

PTD, 申请结果怎样？我在第二轮申请也和你一样遇到同样的问题，Cornell的速度实在慢的惊人！

不知第一轮录取了几个中国学生？

Don't worry. Even though I was admitted by Emory and got scholarship, the online status still shows that my file is under review and my transcript as well as one letter of recommendation have NOT BEEN RECEIVED.

So relax and wait for the good news.

可惜我与Cornell无缘了。不过幸亏我拿到了一个比Cornell还好的学校的Offer，否则我岂不难过死了。(个人以为：失败的重要原因之一是没有现任老板的推荐信，康耐尔的招办主任再三强调现任老板推荐信的重要性)，

申请工作到此结束。祝大家好运，感谢大家的帮助，特别是Lewis, chipmunk, Shuzhen, Atongmu等版主的工作。
