A quite small university.
La Salle Fast Facts
-La Salle is an independent, coeducational university founded in 1863 by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, a Catholic order dedicated to teaching and career preparation.
-The University has been ranked among the country's top schools by U.S. News & World Report, Barron's, Money magazine, and The New York Times.
-The University's population now totals over 5,500 students, including approximately 3,200 full-time undergraduates, 800 part-time undergraduates, and 1,600 graduate students. About two-thirds of the full-time undergraduates are resident students.
-The University offers undergraduate concentrations in nearly 60 academic areas within its three schools: Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, and Nursing. Included are several new and distinctive high-tech majors like Integrated Science, Business and Technology (ISBT) and Digital Arts and Multimedia Design.
-La Salle also offers 13 graduate programs, including the University's first doctoral program (in clinical psychology).
-Most classes average 20 students, and the student-faculty ratio is 16-to-1.
-The University fields 23 NCAA Division I sports teams including 11 for men (baseball, basketball, crew, cross country, football, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, and indoor and outdoor track and field) and 12 for women (basketball, crew, cross country, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, indoor and outdoor track and field, and volleyball). More than 500 undergraduates participate in intercollegiate varsity sports and more than 1,000 in intramural sports at La Salle.
-The main campus is located just minutes from Center City Philadelphia on a beautiful 100-acre campus. It includes 12 acres of woods and gardens, the restored 18th century home of American portrait painter Charles Willson Peale, and one of the finest college art museums on the East Coast. The University's Bucks County Center is located in Newtown, Pa.
-La Salle has more than 40,000 alumni; most continue to live in the Delaware Valley.
-Tuition and fees for 2003-2004 are $22,760. Average room and board is $8,060.

I would not say it is a "garbage", but if you are paying the tuition, maybe it is a good idea to apply for other schools
