SHOULD THE ASSIGNMENT BE NECESSARY ?

Perhaps no other single phenomenon brought more widespread and lasting controversy than the issue of homework. Some people who support the issue hold the opinion that, homework, plays indispensable role in study should be highly advocated. On the other hand, those who oppose the issue maintain that homework occurs nothing but burden. As far as I am concerned, I do bear the former one and illustrate three conspicuous reasons as follows.

In the first place, the most important reason for my view is that homework promotes the knowledge assimilating to the largest extent. It is well accepted the fact that, learing, is an accumulating process. High scores and comprehensive grasping knowledge only rely on the everyday industry rather than cramming before exam. For example, math, a foundamental subject ranging from high school to college, it is unbelievable that to recognize the specific formula without practising it repeatedly by doing homewrok. Similary, it is also impratical to comprehend the chemistry reactions without putting it into practice during the process of finishing homework. Homework lays the solid foundations for pursuing better grades and comprehending knowledge unforgottened. According to the figures published by China Education, the leading periodical in the field of education, over two-thirds of the students who enter into top universities attribute their success to fulfilling assignment punctually and seriously.

 

In addition, the skill of cooperation will also be established during the prossess of finishing homework. Nowadays, the ability of “practising by ones’s hands” has been lifted to a new height all around the world. Consequently, more and more homeworks are assigned involving in fostering and improving the ability rather than merely staying in the paper stage. During the process, cooperation occurred. Natural science, to be more specific, as a rising new becoming acknowledged in many countries, has been fixed as a basic subject, some specimen collections are required as an assingment in our high school. The class is divided into four groups and each group contains ten students. In order to acquire the collection of butterflies,to fulfill the “specific” assignment successfully, cooperation is highly demanded.

 

Moreover, there is little doubt, the establishment of superior study habit ascribes to the homework. The habit of reviewing knowkedge what learned in daytime will eventually not only leads to the ultimate success  in study but also benefits one all his lifetime. Of course, undeniable, homework also has some diasdvantages such as boresome and time consumption. Nevertheless the advantages of homework carry more weight than its disadvantages.  

 

Finally, as a matter of fact, nowadays almost every country is devoted to improve the civil education in order to enhancing its competation in the era of information exploration. Hence, in a nutshell, the importance of homework can not be overemphasized due to its contributions to the study even the futher success in one‘s lifetime.
