我选择了B，但后来也发现compete后面不能➕it。可还是不明白，为什么rivaling的主语是军队，而不是秦始皇。
不是应该这么翻译吗：与埃及金字塔或玛雅古城的成就相比，秦始皇（中国的第一位皇帝）在他的后半生创建了兵马俑保护他，兵马俑用了2000年，700000工匠超过36年完成。
如果选择A，兵马俑难道不是被创立吗？应该是 ……warriors was created
而且rivaling的主语不是秦始皇嘛？

ving句首，其逻辑主语为主句主语，所以主语是the army of terra-cotta warriors。
其次语义判断，能和埃及金字塔或玛雅古城相比的，你觉得可以是秦始皇这个人吗？必然是兵马俑啊
三，created to protect Qin Shi Huang, China’s first emperor, in his afterlife 做定语修饰the army of terra-cotta warriors。
the army of terra-cotta warriors is more than 2,000 years old and took 700,000 artisans more than 36 years to complete 这才是主句的结构

建议你做sc的时候不要翻译成中文哦，你需要面对的是你面前的这种语言，换成中文的话语言逻辑和语法都变了，很难发现错误

距离上次提问大概1个月时间，现在很清楚的知道为什么不能选择b，己来分析下这道题。
1.从结构上
rivaling作为修饰成分，修饰的是兵马俑，修饰句中中心词是金字塔和古建筑，能与它相映的就是兵马俑，非秦始皇这个人。单从这一点，bcde全部排出。
2.created
句子的主构架是rivaling……，兵马俑（created……）is more than 2000年and took 700000工匠36年建成。
这里created过去分析作为后置定语修饰兵马俑

清晰的感觉真好，谢谢楼上的几位朋友耐心解答
