刷PREP08攒下来的存疑清单，7道题，请各位赐教

请各位给我力量！回答时烦请标注下题号谢谢！

1.a\the n.(集合名词）of n.(复数名词）的谓语单复数到底如何决定？
e.g. a team of players a board of directors

2.被动语态的be在平行或者比较结构中能否省略？
e.g. I was reminded of the fact that Tom had got hurt, and (was) told that I had behaved improperly.第二个was能否省略？

3.than引导的比较状语从句什么情况下可以倒装？这个结构我总觉得有点weird.下面这个例子是prep08语法笔记的原句：
e.g. An exceptionallu literate people, Icelanders publish more books per capita than do the people of any other nation.

4.produce不能与double搭配是恁么个意思？这是语法笔记讲解double的用法时，列举double错误用法时举的例子。

5.one in a million chances与one chance in a million谁对谁错？还是都对？

6.begin translation begin trasnlating begin to translate 这三者谁更简洁谁更wordy？

7.quantities of 和 a quantity of 这个区分貌似GMAT老头们不考吧？我记得高中时这就是个争议题，我们省高考都绕开它....
顺便总结了，quantity接可数不可数都行，a large deal \ amount \ sum of 都是必须接不可数，那除了a number of 有没有必须接可数的？
