Q4: IMO D抓住句子的核心是要表达是第一个赢得nobel的女性瑞典作家Swedish writer，前半句长长的仅是修饰成分。

这题纠结在B和D，比较一下。expect to do要比expect that it要简洁；B的providing修饰be expected感觉不好，D中to double和to provide并列，能够清清晰表达出句子的意思，production is expected to provide没有理解错误。

我知道楼主的意思，就是production增长了这句话的结果该是PROVIDING是把？

但是！原句是production is almost expected that it will double by the end of the year,可不是光说产量增长，而是“人预期产量会增长”，这个是不能伴随provide enough electricity for 1.3 million households这个结果的，人预期不能带来增长结果

D那个PRODUCTION WILL PROVIDE ,这个逻辑好像没什么错，不过我觉得题目做多了以后会和其他题目搞起来，这样就很容易脑子一抽选错了

就是如果按照B的理解，那个，PROVIDING这个动作是和expect这个动作一起发生的，是EXPECT的伴随结果，这肯定不对；对比其他的“分词表示一句话带来的影响”的题目，就明白不对了

想了下应该是这样，总算和那道老鹰飞去的题搞清了

反过来如果説想用分词来表达那个PRODUCTION发出的动作，那肯定改成和前面那个expect并列动词更好，不会有歧义

double和provide都是结果，所以无法用providing来表示“double的结果”。两者是并列关系。

umm...double和provide都是at the end of the year时候发生的事情，而present participle在句尾表示了"伴随动作"或者"伴随结果"，而这里，double不是延续性动词，所以无法伴随动作，double和provide同时发生，所以不是伴随结果。两者是并列关系，所以应该用to double ... and to provide ...

还可以通过almost来区分B和D。
B中 almost expect ... 这里 almost 就成了修饰 expect，“几乎要预计...”
D中 expect almost to double ... 这里 almost 才是修饰 double 的，“预计差不多要翻倍...”

我想起来了，斑斑好像是在那个贴发掘出过一条定理，说只有延续性动词才有伴随的结果发生，短暂性或者说状态动词不能有伴随结果……thx
