definately, the reputation of the university is an important consideration, but I think the culture or the overall environment in which this programme develop is a more important one. the benefits of studying abroad may be hard to manifest on the job hunting, the next few years after graduation. rich outside experiences can help looking inside, especially when you are not sure of what u want to be or what u know about what u wanted is so superficial or just follow the mainstream value. try to discover your strength, your power that could be hidden or not too much about your already achieved education background. -- by 会员 zliycsz1 (2012/4/12 7:13:30)
Thanks so much. I believe deeply that the benefit of studying in US can not be measure just in a few years salary or occupation development, therefore if only concerning about myself, I will definitely choose UIUC's program no matter how hard it is to secure a job abroad . However my family's economic situation do not allow me to think in this ideal way although my parents will finally support my decision. I need to consider about cost-effectiveness in short time to relieve my family's burden, not just my own future. So this is really a dilemma for me to make a choice. May I kindly ask your choice of program ? From your previous suggestion I speculate that you are not going to CUHK's master program. |
