不知以前有没有人问过，反正我是郁闷了，答案说选B，某XDF老师说是A

首先如果用not only...but also...的话前后就应该是递进关系，可看原文的意思，前句在说好处，后句在说坏处，这应该是转折关系，所以以本人拙见not only...but also...同时出现的都应该视为错项

于是我就想选E，可是又有人说E中giving是现在分词作伴随状语修饰了前面整个句子，而其实是the systematic clearing of forests发出的动作。

再于是我就真的不知道选什么好了。。。望哪位大侠指一条明路。。。

亦或者这是一道横看成岭侧成峰的题谁也出来招呼一声谢谢
