OG第147頁的一個問題

我想請問OG第147頁有一個聽力例題的答案是什麼？
題目是：
How did the glaciers affect the Great Lakes?
1). They made the Great Lakes smaller.
2). They made the Great Lakes deeper.
3). They reduced the biodiversity of the Great Lakes.
4). They widened the beaches around the Great Lakes.

OG並未指出答案是什麼，只有說：
The answer to the second question is found later in the lecture where the professor says, "... the Great Lakes used to be a lot bigger as the glaciers were retreating..."

百度上有人認為答案是(1)，可是根據OG的這段說明，冰河似乎是讓The Great Lakes變大，
但我也不太確定，所以才發文問問大家。
