我选的E。E错在哪儿，看不明白

愚见：首先看原题，comparable to 前后对比的成分不一致，再次their指代不清
C选项，主动优于被动，前后对比的成分也不一致
D选项，这个food被谁consume错了
E选项，关于这个consuming，在能用动词原型的时候尽量用原型，-ing形式要慎用，而且我觉得the rate of people consuming fatty foods 这种用法怪怪的

呵呵，其他看法一致。恩，E选项的现在分词的用法是有点怪，但是找不出特别明显的语法错误。不知道是不是犯了不够简洁的毛病

刚搜到讨论了。
E变成了the rate of people (consuming fatty foods)，人的比率，改变了句子原意，食物消耗的比率。
而且，ETS在OG中经常强调：介词后面+n，不能加doing动名词，或者包含复杂修饰结构的名词短语，所以D和E都违反了这个原则。
