A, Have sth being done?没有这个用法，而且现在分词表示主动，意思不对。

我认为这里有两个错误

1。正如tianwan GG说的，have sth being done太奇怪了，习惯用法是have sth done

2.逻辑意思错，have sth done ：让某人做某事，例如I have my hair cut, 我让理发师给我剪了头发，而不是自己剪的，后面一般不接by..., 而在这里讲不通

这样的解释对吗？

Having的语法主语为Horace Pippip，句意为”他使他的手臂致残“不复合情理”

不能同意楼上的观点，having sth done不表示做动作的人是Horace Pippin，查longman可以看到，have sth stolen的例句：She has A stolen.她的A被人偷了。可见，have sth done 不一定要你让别人做某事，你可以只是被动的承受者。

但是我也不清楚Having ……能不能放在句首，似乎可以又似乎不可以，希望得到全面的解答。我之前也看过其他帖子了，没见过有特别肯定的答案。

the word "having" can be put at the beginning of a sentence, but depends on the context.

 A  gives people the feeling that the man was willing to have his hands crippled.

E is correct b/c to make a good connection with the main clause which starts with a person, we need to have "his".

As for your example of "having his A stolen", I don't think it is a good senctence.

是独立主格结构

之所以有having ...cripped估计他想考独立主格的完成时态，因为独立主格中，如果分词发生的时间先于主句动词发生时间，常用现在分词完成时态表示，但这里用错了，应该是His right hand and arm （having）cripped by a sniper's bullet during the First World War.正确答案之所以又省略了having，我觉得是因为后面的时间状语 First World War，使先于主句发生的这个事件可以清晰表达。

问一下为什么E对呢。
