不明白OG的解释为什么单独说As is unidiomatic. 感觉上用as 与后面的主语U.S.citizens好象从逻辑上讲不通，但是用being也同样有这个问题啊？

而且,为什么although后面直接加动名词,是一种省略么?如果不是省略,那这种用法是不是需要逻辑主语一致?如果是省略,是不是省略逻辑主语加be动词?
