D implies that the actors were forbidden to do X BECAUSE they (the actors themselves) did not want to do Y. This is logically unsound because "forbidden" is a passive action -- one does not forbid himself to do something because he does not want to plug the competition.

那A也有问题的吧，it指代什么呢？Chrysler Corporation 还是a live television show，还是the assassination of Abraham Lincoln呢，不能确定吧

The Chrysler Corporation is the subject here, and the logical meaning is pretty clear. Hence, there is no referent issue here.
