答案E. 我选择的是D. 但E中的“an average global warming”，正确吗？

第一题，首先chance好像没有后面跟for的用法，所以排除D、E，C的it不明确。A和B还原应该是one chance in a million chances,但是重复，省略名词时不可以省略第一个留下第二个而必须保留第一个。况且million后面跟一个名词应该用million of sth

第二题，an average global warming，global warming是一个固定的复合名词，所以average修饰这个名词没什么问题吧。
