错选A，因为觉得A里面的句子特别平行并列。答案是E，当时做的时候感觉ACE都有可能是对的，请问如何排除AC?
A我看了一些解析，说是remain时态不对，这个可以理解，但是C哪里错了？是even as的意思不能用在这里面吗？

看到很多讨论，是说even as没有转折的意思。供参考

even as是“正当，恰好在…时候”，有at the same time的意思，没有转折的意思，而原句表达的是让步转折含义。

LS说的对。这题初看确实even as很容易和even though/if混淆。。。感觉有转折的意味，查了之后发现even as用的比较少基本就是at the same time as.
AE之间要注意对他的两种作品的评价的时态要一致，要么都是过去要么都是现在。
