The D cannot be right because, according to the passage, the the more standardized a household’s diet is,  the greater the quantities of fresh produce the household throws away. Using this info, we may get that the less standardized a housedhold's diet, the less the quantities of fresh produce the houshold throws away. This is nothing to do with what D indicates.

这句话翻译成这样对不对呢？“假如一个家庭的饮食越标准化，他们就抛弃越少的食物，这些食物包括灌装和预先包装好的食品。”   但是如果这样翻译的话，觉得破折号放在standardized 和its diet is 中间， 很奇怪。
