求问with+n+定从的成分？

As the honeybee's stinger is heavily barbed, staying where it is inserted, this results in the act of stinging causing the bee to sustain a fatal injury.

A. As the honeybee's stinger is heavily barbed, staying where it is inserted, this results in the act of stinging causing

B.  As the heavily barbed stinger of the honeybee stays where it is inserted, with the result that the act of stinging causes

C.  The honeybee's stinger, heavily barbed and staying where it is inserted, results in the fact that the act of stinging causes

D.  The heavily barbed stinger of the honeybee stays where it is inserted, and results in the act of stinging causing

答案是E prep 08语法笔记上说with+n+定语从句这个结构只能做非限定性定语修饰前面的名词，不能做独立主格，那E的with结构修饰前面哪个名词呢？
求教！

我查查了美国一些权威网站的解释，仅供参考

Stinger 本身不能results in ..必须是action results in...

A, staying用法错误，stay..应该和is barbed 平级 ..this 用法错误 ..this 只能指代名词

B,压根没主句，完全错误

C,stinger (noun ) can’t result in...

D stinger (noun ) can’t result in...
"the act of stinging causing" is an awkward phrase with two consecutive "-ing" verbs. We usually wan either:

Noun + verb (such as "act of stinging CAUSES)

or

Possessive noun (-ing verb) such as "its causing..."

E.. with the result that...." is modifying the entire clause [The stinger...stays where it is inserted].

嗯嗯我也明白应该是一个动作或者过程导致一个结果，E的确比较好，但是我纠结的点就是prep 08语法笔记上说with+n+定语从句这个结构只能做非限定性定语修饰前面的名词，不能做独立主格，所以这题这个用法是直接修饰前面整个句子了，所以感觉和语法笔记上的不太符合
