答案是B，但我觉得比可能会有歧义啊，可能会去修饰 anthropologist Alfred Kroeber, 请大牛们解答，小弟感激不尽。

自己顶了。

分词优先修饰其紧跟的词，因此如果用having的话，那么staggered out.就修饰tribe了，而且后面用的是in 1912,是不能用现在完成时的。

而非限制性定语从句，可以跳跃修饰，这里的who是修饰survivor的。

个人意见，不知道解释对不对？

这里的跳跃修饰不是很明白呢
