1、an individual 不可能毛重8000 pounds，所以b错。

that ..... and that................的平行结构，都是修饰交通工具。

2、我觉得没有or的逻辑关系。

3、once有一旦。。。就。。。。的意思，我觉得比较好，条件从句比主句后一个时态，用现在完成时，表示由于这个条件会产生一些后果，强调它的影响。
