请教各位一道OG 13上语法题目的一个关于时间先后的考点

The results of the company’s cost-cutting measures are evident in its profits, which increased 5 percent during the first 3 months of this year after it fell over the last two years.

(A) which increased 5 percent during the first 3 months of this year after it fell

(B) which had increased 5 percent during the first 3 months of this year after it had fallen

(C) which have increased 5 percent during the first 3 months of this year after falling

(D) with a 5 percent increase during the first 3 months of this year after falling

(E) with a 5 percent increase during the first 3 months of this year after having fallen

这道题目答案是C，没有任何问题。自己当初排除A选项的时候主要是看profits与it数上不一致就排除了。后来看解析，解析上说A选项还错在时态选择表示不出事件发生的先后顺序。我的困惑就来了，Manhattan语法上说现在完成时可以比较好的描述动作持续到现在或者动作的效果持续到现在这种感觉，并举了例子“The child has drawn a square in the sand, but the ocean has erased it.”Manhattan上说这句话awkward并给了两种修改方案 “The child drew a square in the sand, but the ocean has erased it. ”（表明现在沙滩上没有square了）“The child has drawn a square in the sand, but the ocean erased it. ”（表明现在沙滩上有没有square 不确定）。可是随后Manhattan上在说过去完成时的时候又提到除非强调过去发生的事的先后顺序或者相对早的事对相对晚的事有一定影响，我们才用过去完成时，否则一般不用。并举了例子“Sue locked the door before she left for work.”，并说before已经清晰的告诉我们时间的先后因此没必要用过去完成时。
我认为抛开A选项数的问题，A里面的after不是已经明显的告诉我们时间上的先后了么，怎么A的解析还说时态选择表示不出事件发生的先后顺序？真心各位求教，thx!!!

对，当初我也是这么排除的，就是对解析上说时间的这一点感觉和解析达不成一致......

表示时间先后的不是时间的词（after before ...）而是发生的动词的时态。

i had had breakfast before i went to school. 我先吃了早餐再到学校
yesterday i realized i had known 500 words .昨天我意识到我掌握了500个单词（先掌握再意识）

时态有一条链的 had done-did-have done- do-will do- will have done- 根据先后选择时态 og 很多题都可以看到这条链

选项a是两个动词时态一致所以看不出先后。 after 无关

这个我也在纠结我的想法是这两个动作的间隔很短几乎是同时发生的所以一致。但是不是这样我不清楚。

共同探讨一下。有趣的是有些SC是可以由不同的线索来推理出正确答案的，只是因人而异，取决于哪条线索对个人来说更快捷。在此，用句意的理解方式说说个人的看法。
原文即A选项是：The results of the company’s cost-cutting measures are evident in its profits, which increased 5 percent during the first 3 months of this year after it fell over the last two years.

主语是result，所以整句话在阐述削减费用对利润的影响。用过去2年利润跌落的影响来衬托今年前3个月虽然仅是5%利润增加的明显进步。应征了LZ引用“Manhattan上在说过去完成时的时候又提到除非强调过去发生的事的先后顺序或者相对早的事对相对晚的事有一定影响”。

请教各位一道OG 13上语法题目的一个关于时间先后的考点
