这个题的答案就是a，我没有问题，我就是不明白这个句子的主语怎么没了？说白了，结构没看懂！我用红笔标的were应该是谓语，那主语呢？？

为什么这里是ask sth.而不是ask for sth.呢？

困惑,in healing ,in在这里是修饰谁呢?我觉得如果是ask sb to do sth就应该用to heal,选E. 难道aid后面可以跟in doing sth. 晕了.
