应该不是同位语

是宾语

我当时也纠结过这个解释

同位语说不通

可以理解成generic的代词不？我觉得是可以当做同位语的吧？？？remained until...修饰主语，a contract也可以作为N N的那种名词修饰名词的同位语，不过这么连着写真的有点怪怪的

所以说，我觉得笔记上说的同位语不对，同位语（除同位语从句外）不一般都是一个逗号，后面有个名词或名词短语吗，个别时候还是个形容词

这个地方我也看到了，contract是作为remain的宾语出现，意思是“一直作为一种特定的合同”
应该是笔记上说错了。。。

反正我是没见过这么蛋疼的同位语结构

至少在官方材料上

弱弱的问一句， remain 是vi, 如果要加宾语的话中间应该有介词吧。。。。像是： remain of 或 remain with + 宾语
不过也不是很理解同位语的解释
还有个疑问是， typically 后面不需要一个being连接后面的 ship owners, overseas merchants, or XXX 么。
