请教一道题目：

为什么这题选A...？没大看懂...

介词结构at stake 前置，后面倒装吧，然后整句话作主语。

主句主语为 "the solvency", 所以谓动应该为单数，排除B/C.

D: there be + 抽象名词（动作性名词：repudiation)错，且主句用了would be, 则if从句动词应该用were, 而不是is.

E: if条件状语从句不能使用将来时，而是用一般现在时表将来。
