题目：Among the objects found in the excavated temple were small terra-cotta effigies left by supplicants who were either asking the goddess Bona Dea's aid in healing physical and mental ills or thanking her for such help.
OG答案：选A原句。我选的答案是to heal physical and mental ills or thanking her for such help。CD的解释是aid要加in healing，不能加不定式；
请教各位NN，为什么不是ask...to do sth啊~小女子在此拜谢啦O(∩_∩)O~

如果是ask to do的话就该是 asking the goddess Bona Dea to heal对吧，但是划线外是所有格啊。怎么请求【女神的帮助】做某事呢。heal的动作发出者只能是GODDESS.

好像只能是ask Sb to do Sth,不能ask Sth to do Sth
这里goddess Bona Dea's aid很明显是名词
所以in....为aid 的定语
