Some people enjoy change, and they look forward to new experiences. Others like their lives to stay the same, and they do not change their usual habits. Compare these two approaches to life. Which approach do you prefer? Explain why.
Before rendering my opinion, I think it is important to take a glance of the argument on both sides. Some people may love changes whereas others would rather like to keep their usual habits. The choice, nevertheless, is not easy to make. However, I shall agree that the first one is more reasonable for me. In the following discussions, I would like to explain my viewpoints.
First of all, changes give us more possibilities of the future. To illustrate this point, we can take a look at the world we live in right now. Without changes of energy supplies, we would probably still use coals for cooking and candles instead of light; without changes of transportation, even traveling across a big country would takes several days; without changes in sciences fields, most of the modern technologies would not even be invented. As a matter of fact, we would not have such a wonderful world without changes. Do you like the world you lived in now? If yes then you should thank to all these amazing changes.
Secondly, changes give us more experiences when discovering the unknown world. For instance, as a student from china, studying in Northern America is obviously a great change for me, and I love it. For instance, my new school teaches me lots of things which I didn’t know previously. Further more, I got a chance to make more new friends from different places. And not to mention the valuable experiences I leant from the great people in this country. In fact, my life would be unimaginable without all these changes. If you were in my situations, you will understand my feelings more deeply.
Admittedly, there is no denying that you are taking a risk at the same time of changing. However, no pains, no gains, by giving up the chance of taking risks, you eventually give up your opportunities of gaining more. When the advantage and disadvantage of changing are carefully compared, the most striking conclusion is obvious.
To sum up, given the reason discussed above, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive, we can say that changes is more worthwhile. Further more, I strongly encourage the people who don’t like changes to take a try, it may not guarantee to success, but the pay-off will be worth and effort.
