因为OG还会说Choice E uses parallel forms, but the convoluted structures are awkward and wordy？选项E怎么就出现了　旋绕结构是笨拙和多余啊？　多多帮助啊

这种冠冕堂皇的话，偶通常就理解为罗嗦。靠语感，读读看，听起来顺不顺。

突然想到"convoluted"是不是可以理解成偶们通常说的“饶舌”？

首先看E，their bodies' burning calories too slowly和their eating too much，句中的两个ing结构其实都是作为动作性的分词结构，换言之，because of后的结构是一个带有动词性质的复合名词结构，对于这样的结构，我们认为不是一个简单结构，而because of后一般只能跟简单结构，比如：because of your suggestion, becuase of his illness；所以，当出现前述那种复杂的名词结构时，ETS侧重于使用更为精确的表达because + 句子；当然，because的优先考虑原则通常时适用于考试迅速排除选项。

假如你用they 代替thier bodies 就句就变成了they burning calories  而不是their buring calories .明白了

所以这里their bodyies 应该加所有格

那这样的话e中的slowly 是形容什么的呢 觉得对e地解释好奇怪
