But why "when" doesn't modify "see". Otherwise, "see "should changed to "saw" accoding to "were"?

A选项的意思是：我们看它们象是它们正在宇宙旅游。结合题干的意思，这个“它们正在宇宙旅游”就应该是用过去进行时了。
