不太明白，请分析一下，

1、到底是哪里不明白，b的had been earning 过去完成进行时，肯定不对
2、这个题目就考了一个逻辑主语，有什么不明白的，你说清楚

1. B还有一个问题. giving rides不如从句. 动词的现在分词表示同时进行或还在进行的动作. 同样的例子有cannon shooting dead chicken就不如cannon that shot dead chicken.

2. 看到划线部分有being,就要警觉起来, 选项很有可能是错的, wordy. A的错误在于being和前后两个动作的顺序, 好象先是citizen后出生. 分号在GMAT语法中也经常出现, 我印象里很多正确答案含分号, 包括我考试中的一道真题.

1，现在分词作定语修饰名词，多表示常期，一贯的动作，这种用法多用来修饰法令，法规之类的名词。定语从句则表示具体，特定的动作。在这里giving修饰elephant不如用定语从句好。真题中有好些这样的例子，如OG1,80,100,103,142,222等,你可以找来集中看一下。
2,同意mindfree,尤其是being+名词作修饰语成分时，being纯属多余。印象中就只有一个含being的选项是正确的。补充材料91，那个题是现在分词的被动态，样子是being　done,偶选错了。
关于带分号的句子容易对，我也有同感。原因是在句子层次比较复杂的时候，用一个分号可连接两个不能捏在一起的主谓结构。如OG50，81，补充材料上还有，不记得号了。
