以下是引用ring_cheng在2005-5-30 21:21:00的发言：个人意见，供参考： because many residents of the Southeast do not share the same ethnic heritage as Northeasterners, 如果要补出助动词do的话，则补出的动词及省略的部分要与前面比较对象的谓语动作一致才可以。这样的话，就变成because many residents of the Southeast do not share the same ethnic heritage as Northeasterners do (share the ethnic), 改变后的句子甚至无法翻译成中文!而原句的意思是：东南的居民并不与东北的居民share 一样的民族风格。因此不需要加入助动词的。 比较在GMAT中是件挺复杂的事，楼主兄弟可以再把精华贴中的比较部分拿出来看看，因为这些知识点都是互通的，相信一定会有帮助！
我觉得应该是这样补出的：
(C) because many residents of the Southeast do not have the same ethnic heritage as Northeasterners (have)
