Note:

217. (31117-!-item-!-188;#058&005981)     (GWD-8-Q11)
There areno legal limits, as there are for cod and haddock, on the size of monkfish thatcan be caught, a circumstance that contributes to their depletion throughoverfishing.

B. Thereare no legal limits on the size of monkfish that can be caught, unlike cod orhaddock, a circumstance that contributes to depleting them because they arebeing overfished.
C. Thereare legal limits on the size of cod and haddock that can be caught, but not formonkfish, which contributes to its depletion through overfishing.
D. Unlikecod and haddock, there are no legal size limits on catching monkfish, whichcontributes to its depletion by being overfished.
E.Unlike catching cod and haddock, there are no legal size limits on catchingmonkfish, contributing to their depletion because they are overfished.

228. (27558-!-item-!-188;#058&002489)     (GWD-5-Q1)
So doggedwere Frances Perkins' investigations of the garment industry, and herlobbying for wage and hour reform was persistent, Alfred E. Smith andFranklin D. Roosevelt recruited Perkins to work within the government, ratherthan as a social worker.
A. andher lobbying for wage and hour reform was persistent,
B. and lobbying for wage and hour reform was persistent, so that
C. herlobbying for wage and hour reform persistent, that
D.lobbying for wage and hour reform was so persistent,
E. so persistent her lobbying for wageand hour reform, that

1、unlike不平行:catching cod and haddock vs. no legal size limits
2、contributing修飾no legal size limits are不合理,subject不能apply to "contribute"

A項
1、as加句子,there are後面省略了legal limits--注意省略的內容一般只能是positive的

1、so that表示目的,so+adj+that表示結果--B項表示目的不合理
2、so..., so..., that...兩個so...
