逗号后的现在分词都可以有几种修饰情况？

想问下逗号后的现在分词除了可以（1）修饰前面的整句话，表示前面的动作产生的结果；（2）修饰逗号前面的先行词（包括名词和名词性词组），不知道是不是还可以修饰逗号前面的句子的主词呢？

另外，如果逗号前面的句子末尾是N.+介词短语，那这个现在分词是修饰N呢还是可以修饰介词短语中的名词呢？

我的理解是：一般不用分词修饰逗号前面句子的主语，因为修饰成分离修饰中心语太远，容易产生歧义，做题的时候也几乎没有遇到过这样的选项是正确的。。。。第二个问题，，应该还是要看具体题目的具体含义吧。。。但是新东方老师说过，修饰成分，一般都修饰中心语。。。

谢谢哈，我现在对这种修饰谁的问题很头疼，经常我觉得是修饰不清的时候，答案说这样是可以的，我觉得修饰可以的时候，答案说不清。
像比如N.+介词短语，which从句的，一般就说which是修饰前面的N的，但是好像也看到修饰介词短语里的名词的；
而N+介词短语+that从句的，一般都说that是不能跳跃修饰，只能修饰前面的n，可也看到有跳过介词短语修饰前面的N的
不知道有没有牛人帮我解释下呢

which一般是修饰离他最近的名词的哈，，但是如果离他最近的是名词性结构的短语，那么就修饰短语中心名词，，但是经验来看，GMAC不偏好which 做修饰。。。所以我一般看到which就先降级拉。哈哈

至于that,,新东方老师明确说过可以跳跃修饰前面的名词，具体修饰什么。要从that后面的谓语的单复数以及逻辑意思来判断。。
