A TREND IS EXPECTED .... 这个题道出了expect的用法。expect sb.to do被动的形式是sb. be expected to do还有就是从句The scientists expected that interest rates would fall...It is expected that种it做形式主语的... 我忘记是在哪里看到过也是考expect的题里有一个迷惑错误选项就是sb.is expected that...或者Scientists expected the interest rates that...就是把expect加了双宾语。或者就是前面那几种正确形式混在一起用。有点像as...as...和more...than...混在一起用错误一样。 但从expect词的用法上来看，A,B,C,D都没有什么问题，E选项就是expect正确用法的混用错误形式并且which指代了前面一句话错误。 Women are expected to be the majority of students entering law school this fall和the majority of students entering law school this fall are expected to be women有很大区别吗？是不是第一种会有歧义，让人认为是所有的women? GMAT想在这里体现什么偏好？是否有必要揣摩women是此句重点描述对象还是the majority of students entering law school this fall是此句想要描述的主要对象？我可能有点钻牛角尖，但是这个题拿正确选项来对比错误选项，毕竟它是把原句的主语换成了宾语的。我们以后做题遇到类似情况估计还是选the majority of students entering law school this fall are expected to be women... 关于a trend我同意fighting127MM的观点。我记得n+doing结构最好还是doing的动作发生与主句谓语有同时性，如果要表达的是非同性的动作，最好不要使用doing.例如，有完成时态的从句和含有情态动词的从句最好不要改成n+doing. 这里用了will才很好的体现了时态上的先后。 |
