嘿嘿，我是看到讨论里说D错因为用了were， http://forum.chasedream.com/dispbbs.asp?BoardID=23&ID=57346，至于说D累赘，不敢苟同。D强调了financial successful,这正是句子要表达的，用“a fact”的结构更是起强调说明“奥运不赔钱”。而E责偏向于表明"92奥运说明奥运不赔钱"，意思上有细微差别。

其实这道题的考法所暗含的语法点比价深，首先E中as所引导的是非限制性定语从句，这里的as等同于which，其次，在非限制性定语从句中的引导词which可以指代前面句子的含义。

基于以上两点，可以判断D累赘，E简洁，清晰。

这一点只能从逻辑上去判断了as不可能指代disasters了，which指代整句这一点我前天参考OG119时专门查了语法书。你可以参考OG119。

In A, to business is awkwardly and confusingly inserted between cost and the prepositional phrase that modifies it, and are already a cost to business is wordy and awkward compared to cost business. In C, already with business costs of... is awkward and unclear, failing to specify that those prior effects generate the cost. Choices D and E produce faulty constructions with the phrase significant in compounding, which cannot grammatically modify the verb form is growing.

如你所说，这道题我开始读了很多遍也是这种看法，有一天在走出gmat困境里看到了一个大N的感想，特别提到了这道题中which的用法，而且驳斥了LZM，我刚开始也很不理解，后来参考了相关的语法书，反复读了这道题的含义，觉得确实which指代前面两句话的含义更恰当。个人想法，仅供参考！
